Because my work is painted on silver leaf there is a parallax effect. So I ask the viewer to become involved in the variables of light, their relative position to the painting and a quietness of observation that purely visual art requires. The paintings take on a substantially different appearance, translucency and subtlety of depth ,depending on the lit environment in which they are viewed. "
