Event Horizon

" in general relativity, is a term for a boundary in spacetime, an area surrounding the black hole, beyond which events cannot affect an outside observer. Light emitted from inside the horizon can never reach the observer and anything that passes through the horizon from the observer's side is never seen again." - Wikipedia

I came across this concept by chance and thought it interesting as a description of our perception of the world, present becoming past, forever.
